BEATING TRUMPISM: A Speech About the Deeply Divided America

by J.J. Ireneo

The land of the free and the home of the brave. The United States of America.

You carry the brightest torch of all. You shine upon your people and the rest of the world. You light up smiles, enthusiasm, and dreams. You radiate hope, patriotism, and compassion. With all your greatness and marvel, with your leadership and brilliance, with your remarkable purpose, you are the epitome of what a nation should be. You are envied, emulated, and respected.

You are the land of the free and the home of the brave.

You are The United States of America.

United. United. United.

A simple word that holds power. A simple word that speaks of love and empathy. A simple word that proclaims, “No matter what comes between us, we will never break. We will never ever break.”

The rest of the world has learned of your prevailing history. The young generations of all peoples, all across the lands, admire your global triumphs. You inspire, you influence, and you teach.

You inspire them to achieve something of value. You influence their principles. And you teach them how to make the world a much better place.

You are not perfect. You’ve had your shortcomings. Yet your resilience is always a stunning testament of who you are. An immeasurable virtue. An amazing wonder. A one of a kind.

You are one of a kind.

Remember, you are the land of the free and the home of the brave. You are The United States of America.

United. That no matter what comes between you, you will never break. You will never ever break.

But you have been broken.

Your patriotic oath is broken. Your soul, your character, and your words are broken. Your reputation is broken.

Friendships amongst other nations are broken. Trust is broken. Admiration and respect are broken.

The land of the free preaches about acceptance and high regard for progress in society and culture. To love. To have faith. To persevere and fulfill. To be seen. To be heard. To have confidence and not be deterred. To create and not be judged. To have visions and put them into determining actions. To stand up. To protect.

To protect. To love. Each other.

The home of the brave hails how you continue to shape history. How you lead. How you uplift the hopeless. How you save the innocent. How you empower.

Your own people. All Americans. All faiths. All forms of love. All beliefs. All that is for the common good. All that defines your universal virtues. All that leads to a much more unified nation. All that is commanded by your Constitution.

All that is just and honorable. Incomparable. United.

But your hypocrisy echoes across the world. You have lost your integrity. You have disrespected yourself.

You oppress and vilify the weak. You intimidate and harm minorities. You insult, you bully, you wish ill-will for your fellows, you strike upon the defenseless, and you don’t stop until they take their last breath.

You are an embarrassment to your own people. The Americans who have fought hard for you, who have shown the sanctity of patriotism, who have loved, who have embraced the beauty of the human race, and who have sacrificed blood to save your name.

Your name alone carries itself the brightest torch, the sharpest sword, and the unparalleled prestige. However, it is with this name that fosters the creeds of supremacy, fascism, and tyranny.

Your good people stand back and watch you fall. They cry, they plead, and they pray. They want to fight for their rights. They hope for a bipartisan government. They chant for peace.

Your good people are desperate to understand you everyday. As you excessively demonize knowledge, judgment, and laws. You thrive to keep them ignorant. You make baseless accusations, you lie, you enjoy grotesque and vicious information, you enjoy cursing and condemning, and you repeat all this every chance you get just to make sure it all spreads.

Just to make sure it fires up your base.

Your base. Who, once upon a time, might have known the distinction between right and wrong. They might have even gone their way to do good. They might have led a life with uprightness and warmth.

But you make sure your spiteful ideologies must be heard. So you blast them through your microphone over and over again. You make them sound credible. You sound firm and entertaining. You know your crowds very well. You have studied their weaknesses. You have lured them with your prominent charm and riches. You have given them false promises. One of those is ‘America First’. Another one is ‘Make America Great Again’.

Promises that ruin diplomatic alliances. Promises that you’ve mobilized to mislead. Promises that redefine American values towards alienation instead.

An American promise comes from HER genuine name. An American promise keeps HER people together. An American promise practices HER deepest virtues and morals.

That promise is…

The United States of America.

Because she only prides those who uphold her virtues and morals. She speaks with kindness. She promotes love, compassion, and empathy. She fights for the will of her people. She is a bipartisan edifice of government. With conscientious considerations. With an open mind towards prosperity. With parliament democracy that sustains peace and harmony

Because The United States of America is for all Americans. Who simply want to live a good life. Who work hard for their dreams. Who believe in their dreams coming true. Who move forward with confidence and intelligence. Who, against all odds, can change the world.

Because The United States of America is the land of the free and the home of the brave. And no one, NO ONE, can overpower HER. No repulsive mind can overthrow HER. And neither HER Commander-in-Chief can change HER soul.

HER. The American people, with best intentions at heart, who accomplish the most wonderful things together as one.

This is not some coward’s nation.

This is where the good defeats evil. Where the good must keep their influence. Where the good must reign.

You inspire, you influence, and you teach.

You are not perfect. You’ve had your shortcomings. Yet your resilience is always a stunning testament of who you are. An immeasurable virtue. An amazing wonder. A one of a kind.

You are one of a kind.

You are the land of the free and the home of the brave. You are The United States of America.

United. United. United.

That no matter what comes between you, you will never break.

You will never ever break.

You protect. You love. Each other.

God bless all Americans.

God bless American democracy.

God bless…

… The United States of America.
